Our Piling Division is headed by a chartered civil engineer who has specialised in piled underpinning for over 25 years. Purkelly Offer:

Our engineer will provide a bespoke design for a pile and beam or piled raft solution which can then be produced on site with minimum disruption. All our piling rigs are suitable for working inside domestic properties in headrooms as low as 2.30m.

Piling is often the solution In existing properties where conventional underpinning is not economical or practical. Piles are used with standard or cantilever RC needle beams or RC raft slabs.

Purkelly offer a range of auger bored piles from 100mm up to 300mm DIA dependent on the structure loadings and steel case driven piles, 100mm, 150mm or 220mm DIA. The type of pile is dependent on the ground conditions.

Once on site, our projects are led by an experienced manager and the same site foreman remains there for the duration.

Purkelly site staff are fully aware of which aspects of the construction process need to be inspected and work within strict programmes to enable these inspections to be carried out effectively by Supervisory Officers and Local Authority inspectors without delaying the overall progress of the contract.

As members of ASUC, all Purkelly fulfilled contracts are fully covered by a 12 year latent defects insurance guarantee - so we have everything in place to ensure expertise, quality and reassurance for your projects.
